Site Supervisor (Soft Services)

The main purpose of the post holder is to assist and support the Soft Services Operations Manager to deliver the overall Soft Services scope of works. To facilitate training of all Soft Services staff, to liaise with sub-contractors to meet the needs of the service, and to provide additional management support as required.
Key Job Responsibilities
To ensure the Cleaning Service provides the highest standards of delivery demonstrating excellent service at all times.
To ensure sub- contractors are compliant with Company's Code of Conduct, and are providing efficient service and value for money.
To ensure that all areas within sphere of control are adequately staffed and that staff are proactively supervised in the undertaking of their duties.
To ensure that all staff have access to the appropriate resources and equipment to carry out their role.
To ensure that all staff completes their tasks to the standards determined in work schedules and to escalate any on-going issues to the Soft Services Manager as necessary.
To monitor and record sickness and absence for Team Leaders, undertaking return to work interviews with staff following periods of sickness or absence.
To carry out counseling sessions as and when required to the appropriate staff groups.
To carry out cleaning standard self and joint audits with client representatives, to an agreed timetable and take appropriate action where a shortfall in standards is identified.
To carry out job training and or assessment of staff where this is appropriate and necessary to support the trainer.
To monitor the performance of and where necessary coach less experienced members of the team to ensure standards are maintained.
To ensure that Health & Safety standards are maintained in the department and ensure effective implementation of Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
To carry our risk assessments as requested with the support of the Soft Services Manager where necessary.
To develop safe work instructions where these are deemed necessary.
To carry out Health & Safety inspections as to take corrective action where issues have been raised.
To ensure that all cleaning staff comply with relevant policies and procedures and in particular those which relate cleaning and waste handling.
To undertake appraisals and appraisal reviews for Cleaning Team Leaders with appropriate training.
To support Soft Services Manager in the recruitment and selection process where required.
To liaise with teams to ensure the efficient running of the service and meet with client representatives to resolve initial problems and queries.
To liaise with other key Soft Services staff as required out of order to ensure the required service is maintained.
To ensure all record keeping and documentation is completed in a systematic and timely manner.
To provide flexible cover for other team members when required.
To manage department costs, to ensure labour and materials are used in the most cost efficient manner, to assist Soft Services Manager to control costs, and make savings if applicable.
To promote effective communication throughout the department and hold regular staff meetings as required formally or informally by walking the floor communicating with staff.
To undertake any other duties as may be agreed between the post holder and the Soft Services Manager.
Recognized supervisory training or equivalent. Preferably with min of 5 years working experience in the same field where 2 years of which are obtained here in the UAE.
Requires knowledge of Cleaning Methods & working practices, and Health & Safety requirements
Knowledge of Various, training and work standards
Familiar with cleaning machines
Computer literate an advantage.
UAE Driving License Required
Good Communication skills
Good Customer Care skills

Salary: AED2,500.00 to AED4,000.00 /month
